Welcome to
Department of Buildings

Buildings Department has existed for more than 5 decades as a pioneer government organization responsible for the design and construction of public buildings in Sri Lanka. This organization has now become one of the first government departments to develop a Corporate Plan to make the department entrepreneurial and innovative in the changing economy and technology. The department also has begun to redefine its role and mission statement and now carries a specific reference to project management and technical accountability aspects.
